New Stage for Georgian Sport!
“Orienteering — Georgia” is an Erasmus+ Sport co-funded project supported by the European Union. The project aims to establish and develop a The project aims to establish and develop sports orienteering system in Georgia.
The project supports:
🏫 the development of school education
🌿 increasing the level of physical activity among citizens
🏃 the development of mass sport, as well as the preparation of professional athletes.
The project is implemented in partnership between Georgia, Sweden and Türkiye, giving us the opportunity to introduce European experience and modern approaches in Georgia.
Within the framework of the project:
• an educational and training programme for sports orienteering will be developed
• sports competitions and festivals will be organised
• Georgia will be equipped with the necessary orienteering equipment and technical resources
• Georgia will host international events
• equal opportunities will be created for everyone to participate in sports orienteering — children, young people and older adults
